Abstract:

The report will focus on national first-class course construction and the cultivation of mathematical innovation abilities. Firstly, it will revolve around the construction standards of national-level first-class courses, with a specific focus on national first-class courses in higher mathematics. The discussion will cover course positioning, objectives, textbooks, and related aspects. Secondly, it will concentrate on teaching methods for fostering mathematical innovation abilities, delving into teaching design, skill cultivation, and character development. Additionally, the report will introduce the construction of the university mathematics teaching platform, starting with the establishment of the first batch of national virtual teaching and research offices in mathematics, and exploring aspects such as research, training, and competitions.

Speaker's Profile:

Jicheng Li, Professor (Grade Two), Ph.D. supervisor, distinguished scholar at Xi'an Jiaotong University, teaching master of the National High-Level Talents Special Support Plan (the "Ten Thousand Talents Program"), and a leading talent in Shaanxi Province's High-Level Talents Special Support Plan. He serves as the Secretary-General of the Teaching Guidance Committee for University Mathematics Courses of the Ministry of Education, a member of the Mathematics Discipline Expert Committee of the National Textbook Committee, Director of the Higher Education University Mathematics Teaching Research and Development Center, host of the National First Batch of "Virtual Teaching and Research Office for University Mathematics Series Courses," and host of the national first-class online course in higher mathematics. He is also the Vice Chairman of the Mathematics Education Branch of the Chinese Mathematical Society, Vice Chairman of the Education Mathematics Special Committee of the China Higher Education Society, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal 'University Mathematics,' and a member of the National Committee of the National University Student Mathematics Modeling Competition. He has won 22 awards for outstanding teaching achievements, including a second prize for national teaching excellence, special awards and first prizes for outstanding teaching achievements in Shaanxi Province, and a first prize for outstanding teaching materials in Shaanxi Province. Jicheng Li has received 32 awards for work performance, including the Baosteel National Outstanding Teacher Award, Wang Kuancheng Education Award, Xi'an Jiaotong University Outstanding Teaching Contribution Award, and Outstanding Teaching Achievement Award. He has presided over more than 30 national and provincial teaching reform projects, edited and published four textbooks, led three National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, and published over 80 research papers.
